Updates on Miss Yeap Gaik Khoon

Mr Yeap Hooi Chong (Miss Yeap's brother) writes to BBGS OGA ....

Miss Yeap is still at the Columbia Asia Extended Care Hospital in Shah Alam and thankfully she continues to do well.

She can sit up on her own but needs a wheelchair to get around. Since the recent Chinese New Year season we have been taking her out of the hospital to visit relatives and just a few days ago we took her to visit a good friend, so we can say that she has made good progress. There is however still a considerable way to go but we remain optimistic.

It has been 15 months plus now since she sustained her injury and her admission to the hospital so we are considering taking her home so that she can enjoy the comforts of home.

Her doctors say that she can continue her rehab  process as a day patient. That should be a good move for her and she agrees, so we are working towards that. We will naturally keep you and her good friends informed of her progress and future developments.

Her welfare and well-being continue to be our prime concern and we are hopeful that in time, she will regain the ability to look after herself. There is much that still remains to be done but be assured that we will be with her all the way and that she will never be consigned to an old folks home.

Thank you and do keep in  touch.

Please email Mr Yeap
