About BBGS Old Girls' Association

This is the blog of BBGS Old Girls' Association that was revived on 11 July 2009 after being dormant for almost 16 years. Although our school building is gone, the legacy of BBGS continues to live on among our alumnae.

We will use this blog to disseminate information on our activities. This blog will also help to reconnect former students and teachers of BBGS. So please send us your contributions.

Humble Beginnings

Humble Beginnings
BBGS pioneered education for girls from poor Chinese families living in the Bukit Bintang area.

SCHOOL MOTTO

Nisi Dominus Frustra

Without God, all is in vain

SCHOOL SONG

BBGS we pledge to thee,
Our love and toil in the years to be,
When we are grown and take our place,
As loyal women with our race.

Father in heaven, who lovest all,
O help Thy children when they call,
That they may build from age to age,
An undefiled heritage.

Teach us to bear the yoke in youth,
With steadfastness and careful truth,
That in our time, Thy grace may give,
The truth whereby the nations live.

Teach us delight in simple things,
And mirth that has no bitter springs,
Forgiveness free of evil done,
And love to all men 'neath the sun.

BBGS we pledge to thee,
Our love and toil in the years to be,
When we are grown and take our place,
As loyal women with our race.

Clean and Beautiful
